Day 20
Friday! I can not believe it has already been three weeks and today is my last day of school for Lima. This Sunday I will head to Cusco for another two weeks of classes there. The travel opportunities there will be to see Macchu Picchu, a hot springs, a market and who knows what else. These three weeks have gone by so quickly I know these next two in a new place will be just a moment.
Today after claas I walked down to the sea, which for here really means I walked to the edge of e cliff that looks out onto the sea. Followed the coastline down to the Park of the Lovers. It has a huge statue of two people reclined in an embrace and kiss. Two girls being photographed in their sweet 15 dresses! I can't spell quinciñera. It was such a long walk I decided to head on over the Kennedy Park and treat myself to the Lucha Milkshake I've been lusting after for 3 weeks. It is vanilla ice cream, crushed oreos, chocolate fudge, mint and chantilly cream. Yes it was worth the calories. Yesterday I warded off the temptation with a moment on the lips forever on the hips. But today I am looking at leaving Lima and I have been good for three weeks ( relatively ).
Perused the artisan fair again on my way home and home for dinner. Tonight a lot of the students are meeting at a night club for dancing. Apparently it doesn't start until 10:30. It is kind of drizzling out so I do not think I will make it. I never did make it to a night club the whole time I have been here. I have nearly two hours it is only 9 now, but I'm not liking being out on strange streets so late and a drizzle. If this were a hot summer night I think I would be right on it. Maybe I will have another opportunity in Cusco. My new family is a husband wife with their 30 year old son. The son is likely to want the night life! We shall see.
